Environmental Sustainability

Pro Visions Document Solutions chooses to work with Kyocera and Copystar, in part due to their continuing focus on environmental sustainability.

Ever since Kyocera was founded, all corporate activities of the Kyocera Group have been based on our corporate motto of “Respect the Divine and Love People” and our three pillars of “LIVING TOGETHER”: coexistence with society, coexistence with global community, and coexistence with nature. We aim for sustainable growth while seeking to balance ecology and economy, and the entire Kyocera Group is committed to environmental management.

The ECO footPrint Toner Recycling Program

Pro Visions is proud to support the example that Kyocera is setting within the document solutions community when it comes to recycling.

Kyocera Document Solutions is working to reduce the environmental impact of their multifunctional devices and printers by designing design products and systems based on the “Ecosys Concept.” In addition, we have established a system to collect and recycle products after they are no longer needed and are actively working to recycle parts and materials.

Sustainability Management

Kyocera is also taking the lead on Sustainability when it comes to managment practices. In their words:

Our world struggles to fulfill many societal needs. For a company to grow sustainably, it must tie solutions to societal needs into its business endeavors and contribute to society. The Kyocera Group will seek sustainable development by providing value that can fulfill societal needs so that both society and the Kyocera Group can develop sustainably.

To uphold our Management Rationale and achieve our sustainable development goals (SDGs), the Kyocera Group holds twice-yearly meetings of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, chaired by our president and attended by executive officers and other top leaders.

Recycling Programs

Kyocera contributes to the goal of sustainable resource recycling by purchasing materials and supplies that have lower environmental impact, reducing new resource consumption, and minimizing waste.

The Kyocera Group manages the amount of waste discharged and disposed of in landfills from the viewpoint of resource recycling. We evaluate the amount of waste discharged, the unit cost of waste treatment, and the risks of treatment contractors at our production sites.
